The Stock market in Nigeria happens to be Africa’s best performer for over a decade. Recently the stock market in Nigeria became about the worst market across the globe especially on the bank losses.

This sector in Nigeria posted the biggest decline worldwide in the first quarter as bad loans to speculators pushed bank valuations to an all-time low, and from my own humble opinion it was due to bad government policy that was immediately corrected and lead to a big shake up within the two regulatory bodies and that is the more reason why am confident about the rebound and future stability of the sector.

People investing in the stock market in Nigeria have experienced the good the bad and the ugly. Due to the financial industry since Nigerian regulators allowed banks to delay booking looses on so called margin loans backed by shares, emerging-markets brokerage Renaissance Capital says.

However the stock index in Nigeria has hit the lowest point which the professional reffered to as support level and now there is just one way to go from here, and that’s UP! Since it possible could not get any worst now is the time to start investing in the NSE . By starting off slow and making small wise investments you’ll see that in a few weeks you can be making huge profits from your investments.

Investing is without a doubt scary at times to say the least. However if you want to be successful you have to be smart with your money. You can’t make your money grow if you don’t invest. So by investing in wise stocks in the secondary market in Nigeria you can in fact have a secured investment without worries of loosing your money.

The main reason people started losing their money in the stock market in Nigeria was for the fact that they made blind investments. To be able to make investments you need to know what you’re doing. You can’t go into the stock market blindly and expect not to lose your money.

The best way to invest in the stock market especially in Nigeria is to have the best help you can find. When I say help I mean by hiring smart stock brokers that knows what he is doing to be able to make your money grow without losing it. Then the place of learning cannot be over emphasized, there are many e-books on investing in the stock market in Nigeria today that were packed with everything you need to know about the stock market.

Nigeria is an African country with a growing middle and upper class. The spending power of consumers in Nigeria has been growing along with the expanding economy. Increased government regulations, the rising price of oil, communication advancements, and travel options, have all led towards a growing market for brand name products in Nigeria. American brands especially enjoy an increase in popularity, and consumers in Nigeria are willing to spend a good deal of money to acquire them.

Brands such as Polo, Nautica, Calvin Klein, DKNY, Levi’s, Nike, and Adidas are in heavy demand. Jeans, dress shirts, dresses, and high end women’s suits are sought after by eager customers. Consumers appreciate the high quality that the brands stand for, and are educated regarding the value of the products. Wholesalers selling to Nigeria have traditionally exported used clothing. Used clothing was a prime product since it was geared towards customers in a third world country where the per capita income was extremely low.

Now that the spending power of the average Nigerian is rising, wholesalers are focusing on brand new merchandise. Since the cost of shipping is still an issue, bulky items such as electronics and furniture can be difficult to export in a cost effective basis. On the other hand, due to the light weight nature of clothing, wholesalers have a much easier time exporting, and making money on clothing.

Since China has been flooding the market with cheap generic clothing, the best approach is to focus on brand names. The more popular the brand, and the higher the quality of the item, the more it will stand out from the generic clothing being sold by the Chinese wholesalers. The Nigerian economy is booming, and so is the demand for brand name clothing by its consumers. Exporting to Nigeria requires a deep understanding of consumer tastes and market characteristics, which once understood, can lead a wholesaler to having a very profitable export business.

Nigeria being a very rich country by nature is impoverished by mismanagement; therefore, the most monumental solution must be a repentance of her leadership. The national aristocracy must once more be committed and rededicated to the ideals of patriotism, nationhood and ambitious developmental projections and activities. Visionary and pragmatic leadership is urgently needed. It will be a social escapism to delegate the whole culpability of social abnormality to the government. It has always being my view, that only the people can determine and permit the national state of affairs. The Nigerian people should rise as one and challenge the menace of poverty with the will, intellect, judgment, words and actions. This function they must exercise through their positions as responsible parents, honourable servicemen and businessmen of integrity.

Government should pay more attention to the child in the formulation and implementation of policies. Fund transfers should be made to families with children in deepest needs. Steps should be taken to counter low labour market returns, so that parents will be enabled to carry out their financial responsibilities more appropriately. Prize regulation, should be taken more seriously by the Nigeria, taking into account the predominate economic nature of the citizenry, so that the basic necessities of life, can be generally affordable.

The pain of poverty is increased in the midst of the monstrous display of wealth by the few rich. There should be a national educational geared towards a change of consciousness. A consciousness that places wealth in its rightful place as a means, to a good life and positive contribution to the society, and not an end in itself. Until this is done, poverty will become an unbearable pain, manifesting most negatively on the child on the long run. The rich and powerful organizations, within Nigeria, should make themselves agencies for the children. Scholarships should be awarded to the Nigerian children, they should fund initiatives for the child’s holistic comfort, growth and development. Children should be taken out of the streets and the bridges, and given a place in the society. The should set up legal firms that provide social and legal protections for the Nigerian child.

The value of children should once more be reaffirmed by the Nation, community and family. Parents should be taught the eternal value of sacrifice. They should be ready to make themselves canopies for the children, protecting them from the negative effects of poverty. Instead of passively bemoaning the social abnormality of child poverty, they should transform the situation by gently and lovingly affirming the precious value of every child, in their actions and activities. A child most valued and loved even in harsh situations and painful conditions of lack has had the greatest gift of life, no money can buy.

According to Dare Adekanmbi “NO fewer than 15,790 lives have been lost to cultism and youth violence in the nation’s tertiary institutions of learning in the last four years.” This statistic statement is enough snapshot of this ugly trend of cultism clogging the wheels of development in Nigeria. In the midst of social violence, there is little possibility for social development. No matter how we may look at it, the development of cultism is invariably related to the development of the nation. Any intelligible infant in Nigeria knows two things. Cultism is an empirical virus that rears itself in all social divide of the nation. Each cult group, no matter the positive motivation for her formation, consequently metamorphose into sinister manifestations due to doctrinal and eventual conflicts with rival cults.

Anthropologically speaking, cultism is a creation of man’s desire to assert himself, to protect himself from negative environmental and social factors. In this process of cultic integration, there is a possibility that a man may forget his moral self and lose essence of his personal drive for the high ideals of freedom and progress. This also the prime damage of mismanagement of power at the hierarchy of the cult, where the use the code of full obedience to turn human agents into social machines, that serves their own private and selfish interests. Based on this premise, we can say with some certainty that, there is always a higher possibility for the transformation and manifestation of cultic existence as social negativity.

Many multinational corporations have offices in Abuja, the nation’s new capital city, purpose-built in the 1980s. The five star Transcorp Hilton Abuja is known as the best and correspondingly one of the most expensive hotels in Abuja. It has everything the executive with an expense account could wish for, including seven restaurant and bar areas, a pool and a casino. With its corporate facilities and 24 hour entertainment, staying here will cost around €200 a night. The Sheraton Abuja offers similar comforts and standards, with 14 meeting rooms, a pool and conveniently central location. And excellent international and local cooking is served in four restaurants. The four star Mediterranean Hotel in the Asokoro District has more individual character and charm than most blandly decorated business hotels. As well as 25 rooms, a pool and restaurant, it has an impressive recreation centre for guests and locals alike.

Lagos, the former capital, is still the commercial heart of Nigeria. The Sofitel Lagos is in Ikoyi, a residential area close by the business district. Its 94 rooms are spacious and elegant, and it has a good array of facilities including a pool, meeting rooms, restaurants and bars. The Sheraton Lagos Hotel offers all the modern comforts of a large international hotel, with over 300 rooms, four restaurants, a business centre and swimming pool. It is situated in the district of Ikeja and easily accessible from the airport. The rapidly expanding city of Uyo is in an oil-rich area of Nigeria. Hotels include the highly rated Le Meridien Ibom Hotel and Golf resort. Here you can stay in a tropical idyll, sheltered by palm tree forests and landscaped gardens. The challenging 18-hole golf course, luxurious surroundings and conference facilities for up to 1,000 people make it ideal for business events. The price per night averages around €160.

Nigeria has been seeing a steady increase in the number of business travellers as a result of its status as the largest oil industry in Africa. Several exciting hotel developments are in the pipeline and many existing hotels and guesthouses are being upgraded to meet the visitors’ expectations. Rezidor, the Brussels-based hotel company, plans to launch several of its Park Inn brand hotels in Nigeria. The first one, in Lagos, will be called the Ikeja Hotel and is due to open in 2013 with 135 rooms. Another Rezidor brand, Radisson Blu, is building two large luxury hotel in Lagos, one in the Victoria Island district. For seriously chic business accommodation, the five star Wheatbaker Hotel in Lagos promises to combine a boutique hotel style with conferencing and business facilities.

Every year and year, the Nigeria unemployment rate keeps on going higher and higher as fresh graduates passes out from their various institutions of higher learning only to be met with a long queue of their senior ones who have earlier passed out from the various universities and polytechnics and are yet still unemployed, as there are few jobs to go round the vast unemployed population in the country. The situation has become pathetic as year after year, job seekers and applicants are left with nothing to do than to roam about the streets looking for jobs that are not available. Their case is also worsen as most of them are not employable by potential employers of labour, this may be due to their lack of core technical knowledge about their discipline or poor result.

The Nigerian government is also concerned about the ugly trend as she is already setting up machinery, legislatures and agencies to look into the situation and try to reduce the high unemployment rate. This can be seen through the national poverty eradication programme (napep) and the national directorate of employment (nde) that are both into reducing unemployment by introducing unemployed youths into self employment through the small and medium scale enterprises. We hope that in the nearest future, hopefully by the year 2020 (vision 2020), Nigeria’s high unemployment rate would have been greatly reduced. Until then, jobs seekers, keep on the struggle, that dream job you desire you definitely come your way, god willing. Jobs seekers, you can now get the latest Nigeria jobs vacancies, graduates jobs and career opportunities in Nigeria from my website dedicated to totally free daily Nigeria jobs vacancies.

Among the many fruits of tin mining now being enjoyed by Plateau State is the Jos Museum which was established to house the many exhibits of archeological interest which were constantly being dug out of the alluvial planes in the quest for tin. The museum is built under the foot of tree-granite hill and close to wooded stream. It is devoted primarily to the archeological and ethnography of the Plateau area, but it is also the research centre for the pre-history of the entire Nigerian Federation. The Museum the first to be established in Nigeria is remarkable for its relics of a highly sophisticated and widespread culture named after the village of Nok in southern Zaria. The Nok culture flourished over a wide area in Nigeria about 2,000 years ago and produced a very remarkable sculpture in Terra Cotta.

Examples of sculptures from all over Nigeria gives the visitor a glimpse of the richness of Nigerian traditional culture and others exhibits including the stone age of the Plateau, as well as skills of local craftsmen. Jos Museum is also famous for its rich collection of the country’s traditional pottery displayed in a triangular enclosure of trees and ponds. A Museum of Traditional Nigerian Architecture (MOTNA) has been established in Jos. This section of the museum is primarily occupied with reproducing past and existing fascinating and original architectural designs from different parts of the country.

Facing the Jos Museum is the Jos Zoological garden which harbors different types of animals, reptiles and birds. Close to the Jos Museum is the Bright of Benin restaurant. The restaurant replicates a Benin boble man’s house. Markets & places of interest on the Jos-Plateau; Building Materials and Vegetable Market, Gada Biyu Market, Faringada Tomatoes Market,, Langtang Street, Rukuba Road Market,, Jama’a Junction, Mangu Market, Jengre Market, etc.

The Jos-Plateau in Nigeria is also the place to find the following commodities in abundance and at good wholesale and retail prices. Commodities like; vegetables (including Irish potatoes, Cucumber, Cabbage, Tomatoes, Green pepper, Green peas, water melon, Water, Onions, Carrots), grains (including Popcorn, Sorghum, Millet, Yellow Maize, White Maize, Beans, Acha, Rice, Soybeans, Sesame seeds), fruits (including; Oranges, Bananas, Mango, Pineapples, Strawberry, Grape), livestock (including Cow, Calf, Goat, Sheep, Goat, Chicken Eggs, Broiler chicken), and gem stones (including Topaz, Ruby, Tourmaline Blue, Pink Tourmaline, Aquamarine, Quartz, Sapphire), and many more.

Nigeria is an important Muslim state in Africa. The history of Nigeria is very ancient, dates back to 5th century BC when the Nok civilization colonized here then Hausa, and Fulani. Islam came here in 13th century by the empire Kanem. In 1851, the British occupied the territory. It formally united as Protectorate of Nigeria in 1914. Now it’s quite an urbanized state where each day people from all over the world obtain for multiple purposes. The state has been holding hundreds of monuments, buildings, villages etc telling the stories and showing the faint prints of civilization of hundreds years ago, curious people in search of these prints excitedly get the flights to Nigeria to satisfy their eagerness and curiosity.

Osun Shrine is located at the bank of River Osun. The shrine is a holy place for the religious community Osogbo. Many religious people who make their reservations of. tickets to Nigeria essentially approach to the shrine as many Yoruba gods are displayed in the site. The Ancient City of lfe in Osun State also contains the Yoruba ethnicity. Hundreds of years ago the Yoruba people started life here and still they are living and following the traditions and customs of their hundreds years old ancestors and legends.

The historic Idanre Hills are located in Idanre town in the state of Ondo. The high hills shining in the bright sun, makes an awesome mold of nature and good tourist attractions. One of the hills has six hundred steps and the top displays the complete work and beauty of the site and adventurers who get the climb up the steps as a challenge. Birikisu Sungbo Shrine is located in Ogun State. Birikisu Sungbo was an Arab lady, considered as the Biblical Queen of Sheba.

Nigeria produces the kind of crude oil referred to as bonny light. It is one of the best crude oil in the world because it is easy to refine as a result of its low sulfur content. Due to this factor, a lot of buyers from around the world are always interested in Nigeria petroleum. But the problem these buyers have is the inability to discover the right place to go.

Every business has due process and in order to be successful, you need to follow the due process. This is the case with buying petroleum from Nigeria. You should bear in mind that Nigeria petroleum is sold in barrels. The minimum amounts of barrels most sellers are willing to supply are usually 2 to 4 millions of barrels monthly. This is done through TTT basis and TTO basis. The price is the same with the one set by OPEC.

When you must have made up your mind that you want to purchase light petroleum and you have the funds available, then there are few genuine crude sellers you can purchase your black gold from. You will need to connect with an intermediary broker. An intermediary broker will help you to find the best deals with the NNPC. NNPC is a government agency in Nigeria responsible for the sell of petroleum. There are many petroleum sellers who work as staff for NNPC. You will easily get allocation if you deal with their staffs. There are terms of service involved and you need to follow it.

Today, the world has become a global village and different world federations try to develop different tourist attractions in different countries. Keeping this idea in mind, UNESCO has chosen Sukar Cultural Landscape as a UNESCO World Heritage Site that is located in the Northeastern part of Nigeria. Nigeria has unique position in Africa because of its unique tourist attractions but Sukar Cultural Landscape was selected because of its unique structured palace, beautiful villages and terraced fields etc. Every year several tourists try to get flights to Lagos, Nigeria to step in to such a unique cultural landscape.

UNESCO included Sukar cultural Landscape in the list of world heritage site in 1999. By visiting this place physically, you would come to know the critical stage in human settlement and its relationship with its environment that’s why the Citation calls this site an exceptional landscape. Cultural Landscape of Sukur is witness of continuing spiritual and cultural traditions that are being tolerated for many centuries. It is located on the Mandara Mountains so apart from the historical information you can also enjoy the inclined land with its grassy soil.

Sukur is quite different from other World Heritage sites in that it is not as much recognized, throughout the world, as other sites are. Its recognition is far behind its instant area. This site is being developed with the passage of time to introduce Sukur to all over the world by collecting as much information as available in records and publications. Data composed by Nic David and Judy Sterner in the background of the Mandara Archaeological Project and data from Sukur themselves can also be useful in developing the Sukar Cultural Landscape.

As it is mentioned above that Sukar Cultural Landscape is not as much popular as other UNESCO World Heritage Sites are so, to make it famous among international tourists there should be a proper plan for its marketing. Nigerian Government should start some new projects with collaboration of different world recognized federations for the development of cultural heritage. For that, Government can make it a park that should fulfill international standards. For that, they should bring some wild animals to enhance the interest of tourists. However, zoo cannot be called safari park but still it does not appropriately fulfill the needs of a wild life lover. Government can also make a museum over there to depict the real culture and history of the region.
